Mayo Chiki
Hulu has been doing a fair bit with The Anime Network in getting shows from Sentai Filmworks out onto the service and one recent catalog add included the TV series Mayo Chiki. The service now has the entire twelve episode run plus the OVA available which means you can check out the whole show, subtitled, to see what the fanservice fun is all about. Sentai Filmworks released the show on subtitled-only DVD back in October of 2012 and you can read our review of it here. Based on the light novel series by Hajime Asano which ran for twelve volumes during its run before it included in the summer of 2012, Mayo Chiki is a twelve episode series with a bonus DVD episode that brings it to thirteen that plays with familiar concepts.
Plot concept: Have you heard the one about The Cross-Dressing Butler, the Female Wrestlers, the Chicken AND the Principal’s daughter? Sakamachi Kinjiro suffers from acute gynophobia, but his female troubles don’t redline until a wrong turn exposes Subaru’s secret; if her cross-dressing isn’t enough of a drag, Kinjiro’s girl problems also include a martial artist, a fetishist, AND his own sister! The freak flags fly, the punch lines aim low, and the butler is cross-dressed to kill in Mayo Chiki!
