Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
After the series came amusingly full circle in the last episode, it definitely shed some new light on the scale of events here. Not that it really changed anything as we see that Monochrome is still going about her goal of becoming an idol, but at least we have a reason. Here, we get to see her experiencing a bit more of what it means to be an idol as she and Maneo stumble across a handshake event, noting that if there’s a line, a Japanese person will stand in it. Of course, she wants to do the same thing but she handles it in the most awkward of ways by trying to do it at work, walking in the streets and elsewhere, including the bath. It does give her some good face time with people but it also hits some comical notes, such as the way she ends up in a few sporting events because of it. The cameos for that are priceless.

In Summary:
Though he goal is to become an idol, she doesn’t get there here but instead racks up an impressive array of achievements. You have to feel for Maneo as he sees what she’s capable of and her lack of understanding, but also the fact that if people knew she was an android she wouldn’t be allowed to compete in most of these events. She has some good things happening here as she does the wrestling, boxing and more and scores well with it, but it’s the cameos and the handshake elements alone that make for the most fun and the most smiles.
