It’s been a given based on how the casting has gone so far that there would be a character that could be Wonder Woman in the new Batman/Superman film, especially since there’s such a lack of strong female superheroes in the current range of movies. Warner Bros. made the announcement today that Gal Gadot, last seen in Fast & Furious 6, has signed on to become Diana Prince/Wonder Woman for the film. Gadot joins the cast that’s largely returning from Man of Steel along with Ben Affleck in the 2015 film.
“Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character,” said director Zack Snyder.
