Bryan Singer certainly is continuing his push towards being active on the social media side of his films as he’s made the surprise announcement, months ahead of the release of X-Men: Days of Future Past, about an apparent sequel with X-Men: Apocalypse. That was followed up with a tweet from those in the know with Fox about an actual firm date. Presuming that it’s working off the 90′s comic storyline of the same name, we know a number of the characters/actors are back having been signed for a third installment, though others like Hugh Jackman are already publicly saying they’re not sure since they’re involved in other things. It doesn’t quite confirm that Singer will direct, but he’ll at least produce and it won’t be a surprise if he does direct having had a good experience on the current film.
