Nozomi Entertainment has set another older title to litebox form this week that will be arriving on April 1st, 2014 with The Third – The Girl With The Blue Eye. The twenty-four episode series is getting a priced-down re-release of the original bilingual work that the company released for $39.99. The last collection for this was a thinpak release back in 2010 that was priced $10 higher. This release contains the same features with the Japanese stereo track and the English 5.1 mix.
Extras include Character Bios (including some with commentary by Megumi Toyoguchi [Honoka]), Japanese Voice Actor Interviews and Music Videos.
Plot concept: In a devastated world overrun by monstrous bugs and ravaged by outlaws, there’s only one person to call when you really need a job done right: Honoka. With a sixth sense for danger, sword skills second to none, and a smart-aleck A.I. tank by the name of Bogie, she’s ready to tackle any job and solve any problem for her clients. But while crossing the desert one night, she finds a young man alone in the wasteland. It’s the first step of a journey that will challenge even Honoka’s amazing skills to their very limit!
