We learned back at the end of January 2015 that a new Major manga series would be coming in Japan and throughout 2015 we’ve seen strong sales of the compiled volumes where in the first couple of weeks it hit over 300,000 units easily. The folks at Club Sunday TV have put together a new promo for the manga series that involves a 39-second anime bit, which certainly excites fans as to the potential for this returning to the small screen again someday. The spot highlights the upcoming fifth volume of the series
That series ran for sixteen years between 1994 and 2010 from Takuya Mitsuda where it produced seventy-eight volumes to its name and over fifty million copies sold. And, of course, a couple hundred anime episodes and a few films.
Plot concept: Daigo is born as the son of Gorou, a father who is too great. What path will Daigo, who is burdened with great expectations, take in baseball?
