Crunchyroll Adds ‘Mushi-shi Special’ For Winter 2014 Anime Lineup

Mushi-shi SpecialA lot of people expected to simply miss out on this being available since it’s a special, but Crunchyroll has managed to pull this one off by getting the rights to simulcast the new Mushi-shi special. The show, which brings us back to a series that completed years ago and got a DVD release from FUNimation way back as well, is set to broadcast on Saturday, January 4 at 11:30 a.m. Easter Time for premium members. Free users will be able to watch it one week after broadcast on Crunchyroll.

Availability for the episode is pretty good as it’s open to audiences in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Plot concept: They are creatures only known as ‘Mushi,’ whose abilities range well into the supernatural. While their existence and appearances are unknown to the humans around them, there are a few like Ginko who is a ‘Mushi-shi’ that travels around to investigate and find out more about the ‘Mushi.’ During the course of his discovery and understanding, he helps those who are troubled by the Mushi themselves…
