MVM Entertainment is kicking off the year in the way that we like by announcing new license acquisitions. The latest for the UK distributor is a title that was fairly under the radar both in Japan and abroad with Chrome Shelled Regios. The distributor doesn’t have any timeline on when they’ll be bringing it out but it’s expected to be similar to the 2011 release from FUNimation which had all twenty-four episodes in bilingual form on DVD. No Blu-ray was released in North America for the title.
Plot concept: After the world has fallen into a state of disrepair, humanity has retreated to huge mobile cities named Regios. With the Earth now populated by contanimated life-forms, humanity must defend itself by using weapons called DITE. One young man trying to forget his past arrives in the Regios named Zuellini, but soon catches the attention of those who would use his considerable skills for their own ends.
