Fantastic Four
Sometimes the most interesting tidbits about a film comes from the casting side and Acting Auditions has provided what looks to be the basic template for the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot that’s due on June 19th, 2015. The film has to get going soon and open casting for various supporting roles is the norm. What’s eye-catching is that there are some obvious twists going into the film here with the origin story, which is expected as it has to be updated, but it’s looking like there may be more of an Ultimate Fantastic Four comics adaptation here that makes some bigger changes as well. It’s certainly not official and thing s change along the way, but it’s another area where you can see the longtime fans sighing over unnecessary changes.
Plot concept: The Fantastic Four will tell the tale of two very young friends, Reed Richards and Ben Grimm. After an event transforms the boys, they find themselves empowered with bizarre new abilities. Reed becomes a scientific genius who can stretch, twist and re-shape his body to inhuman proportions. Ben becomes a monstrous, craggy humanoid with orange, rock-like skin and super-strength. However, the two end up being owned by the government and used as weapons. But after they mature, two others with powers come into the picture – Sue Storm “The Invisible Girl” and Johnny Storm “The Human Torch.”
