On a list of things that you may not have expected to ever see happen, we can now add Yasuomi Umetsu directing a single season original series for the noitaminA block on Fuji TV. Umetsu, who has been involved in many things but is known more in North American for his work Kite and Mezzo Forte, is set to do a single season series that will air between the two halves of Silver Spoons. The show is being animated by A-1 Pictures with Shingo Adachi working on the character designs. According to the translation done by ANN, the story is about “three moons” — three of Italian astronomer Galileo’s female descendants who are on international wanted lists. The show is planned for the fall season before Silver Spoons returns in January.
