The spring season of any year is typically one of the more crowded ones for new shows kicking off and 2014 is looking no different. Now added into the mix are some details about Blade & Soul, which adapts the Korean MMORPG of the same name into anime form. The series is getting its initial broadcast set for TBS and BS-TBS in April with Gonzo producing it. Hiroshi Hamasaki and Hiroshi Takeuchi are set to direct the project based on the scripts by Tasuhiro Tomioka while Eri Nagata is set to handle translating the games designs to the anime side while also serving as the chief animation director.
The South Korean MMORPG game is currently in development for South Korea, Japan, and North America and it’s being described as a martial arts fantasy game.
The series has some notable voice talents participating as Aoi Yuki of Madoka Magica will play the lead of Jin Valel while Ayahi Takagaki is plan Dan Roana. Sora Amamiya rounds out the cast as Jin Hazuki and Sayaka Ohara as Elle Karen.
