Amazing Spider-Man 2Trailers have been the order of the day for the last few months alongside a variety of images from the upcoming release of Amazing Spider-Man 2. But now that we’re in the more critical couple of months for marketing just before the film debuts in May, Sony has released a pair of featurettes through CMBTrailers that covers a few different things. The first one is a more traditional two minute piece that focuses on the film itself and the dynamic of it which has some neat new sequences.

The second featurette clocks in at five minutes and focuses on the way sustainability was done in order to produce the film – which gives us a quick glimpse of Stan Lee in it – with a goo dlook at what goes into the movie and how they’re working it across all aspects of the production. For those that are into how movies are made, it’s definitely pretty interesting to see it all come together.

Directed by Webb, the film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, and Sally Field.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in 2D and 3D on May 2, 2014

Plot concept: We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.
