With a domestic pickup already announced, fans of Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai Ren have to balance getting it later in one complete set or digging into the Japanese releases with all the bonuses that come with it – and the prices. Ahead of the release, Pony Canyon has let loose with a new promotional spot that will help to tempt and remind some of their import options.
Pony Canyon will be doing a seven volume release for this where the Blu-ray’s are priced at 7140 yen each and the DVDs at 5880 yen each. They’ll begin releasing on March 19th, 2014, just as the series finishes out its broadcast run. According to the first blush information about the releases in the Amazon Japan listings, there will be a few extras with each of the releases. Each volume looks to have a short with it and the first volume is detailed to have the clean opening and closing as well as a commentary track. A booklet and post card set is also expected as the first press items.
The first series ran in the fall of 2012 and has been picked up by Sentai Filmworks for release and it’s expected we’ll see the same route for the second season once the show gets closer to its premiere.
