With production having to start in just a couple of months, reveals about casting are about ready to start rolling out and Variety has the first piece of news. Though they do say that the deal is not done, they’re basically saying that at the moment it’s all down to the final negotiations of Adam Driver of Girls fame angling for a potentially villainous role that’s in the same vein as Darth Vader. If this casting information does actually manage to become finalized, it’ll mark the first cast member to be announced formally for the project, which has a theatrical release date of December 18th, 2015.
“The delay in making a decision was due to scheduling issues with “Star Wars” and his HBO show “Girls.” Sources say it’s not just Season 4 that was the hangup, but also future seasons, since future “Star Wars” installments could also coincide with upcoming seasons of the HBO Lena Dunham comedy. Sources are now telling Variety that scheduling issues have been resolved and that a deal should be finalized in the coming days.”
