While the release isn’t set to land until March 11th, 2014, FUNimation’s Psycho-Pass premium edition has started to get out there a bit on the retail market and it turns out there’s an issue with it. The premium artbox for it is one that apparently does not stand up straight once you take the shrinkwrap off of it. For most people, this isn’t going to be too much of an issue as the release will be in between other titles that are owned and not a standalone item. But FUNimation is intending to make it right and is going to produce a replacement. Right Stuf has set up a way to get it exchanged if you want through their site, but only if you actually purchased from Right Stuf. They’ve also placed a hold on shipping out more of this set until the replacement boxes come in, which could be between four to six weeks. Check out the full details below:
We have been made aware of a manufacturing issue with the artbox for the PSYCHO-PASS Season 1 Blu-ray Complete Collection Premium Edition. Customers have noticed the artbox does not stand up straight when removed from the shrink wrap packaging.
After contacting the publisher, they have acknowledged this is indeed a design flaw, and are working to manufacture replacement boxes. This process will take approximately 4-6 weeks. If you would like a replacement box for your PSYCHO-PASS Season 1 Blu-ray Complete Collection Premium Edition and have ordered from Right Stuf, please contact us via email, live chat, or the form on our website and we will put in a replacement order for no additional charge.
Customers who did not purchase through Right Stuf will need to contact FUNimation directly.
