Bandai Visual is taking a proactive approach to their upcoming Space Dandy release on DVD and Blu-ray as they’re putting out a look at one of the extras that will be on the release. They’ve put out a new nearly minute long piece that does some of the pencil drawings for the storyboards to show how everything is flowing in a particular scene. With a dub airing at the same time as the original version in Japan, the US getting both versions made available and word of the home video release coming in late 2014 at least through Anime Limited in the UK, Bandai Visual Japan is handling their home video release in a pretty good way for those that want it quickly, spare no expense. The show is slotted to begin its DVD and Blu-ray release on April 25th and they’ve confirmed that it will have both dubs and subs on it. The layout is a bit different though when it comes to pricing:
- Vol.1 & Vol.5 BDs: 6300yen each; Vol.2 to Vol.4 BDs: 7875yen each
- Vol.1 & Vol.5 DVDs: 5040yen each; Vol.2 to Vol.4 DVDs: 6300yen each
The first volume is listed to include a stick and booklet as the first press addition while on-disc extras include a gallery, commercials and teasers as well as a cast commentary from the Japanese side.
