Tokyo GhoulWe learned a bit ago when the tenth volume of Tokyo Ghoul from Sui Ishida was released that the series was getting an anime adaptation. It was pretty free of details beyond that, but now a little more has been revealed as a new promotional image was released ahead of the AnimeJapan tradeshow next week that indicates it will be a summer 2014 series. The series will star Natsuki Hanae as Ken Kaneki, Sora Amamiya as Toka Kirishima and Hanazawa Kanaas Rize Kamishiro. Originally starting serialization in Young Jump back in September 2011, the series has done well for a first-time creator who has no other published works to his name in the field.

Plot concept: In Japan, strange creatures that eat humans are around and they’re called “Ghoul”. A university student, Kaneki Ken, is riding a normal life and has fallen in love with a girl. But, after their first date it turns out that she’s a Ghoul. Being seriously traumatized, he got saved as the Ghoul accidentally died.

What happens when the doctors implant some of her organs to him, in order for him to survive?
