The relaunch of Fairy Tail as an animated series, picking up where the series left off before going off the air previously, is set for April 5th, 2014 and now Avex has the first promotional video for the series which features music by BoA. Clocking in at just over 90 seconds, we get a good feel for the show and its style as the animated versions of the new character designs are given life and we get the cast associated with them as well, which features all the main players returning to characters they voiced for quite a few episodes.
The new look comes courtesy of the new character designer, Shinji Takeuchi, who has joined the production that’s largely made up of the same people from when the series went off the air last year. We also recently learned that the March 30th, 2014 event at Dragon King Festival 2014 where manga creator Hiro Mashima will be at will also have the cast members there. This provides a good pre-broadcast session with the cast and the chance to see an advanced screening of the show – in Japan of course.
Property concept: In the Kingdom of Fiore, powerful wizards make their living by joining magical guilds and contracting out their services to become “wizards for hire.” Harnessing the forces of Dragon Fire, Ice, Weaponry, and the Zodiac, four young wizards of the infamous guild Fairy Tail team up to seek their fortunes.
Growing stronger with every mission, they travel the countryside helping people and battling rival guilds, but with personalities as different as their magic skills, this team may end up doing more damage than good.
