Very good news for fans of Fairy Tail today as the property is getting its next shot at life as a new TV series has been given the green light. The original series came to a close back in March of this year after running for a few years and having declining ratings and home video sales. When the show went off the air, the original manga creator, Hiro Mashima, tweeted and talked about that this wasn’t the end of the property in anime form. While we do have an OAD bundled episode coming up, he indicated that there was more than that. It took some time, but now things are coming clear that there will be a new Fairy Tail series that will launch which will be a sequel to what has come before. No details are available yet or if there are any sweeping changes with the production team, but that’s expected to come soon as to how the new series will unfold.

Plot concept: In the Kingdom of Fiore, powerful wizards make their living by joining magical guilds and contracting out their services to become “wizards for hire.” Harnessing the forces of Dragon Fire, Ice, Weaponry, and the Zodiac, four young wizards of the infamous guild Fairy Tail team up to seek their fortunes.
Growing stronger with every mission, they travel the countryside helping people and battling rival guilds, but with personalities as different as their magic skills, this team may end up doing more damage than good.
