Soul Eater Not

While a lot of the heavy lifting for promotion for new shows tends to come from the various companies involved in the production committee, as we inch closer to the actual debut we start to get some from the networks that carry it. Enter TV Tokyo, who has their first thirty second spot for the April 8th debut of Soul Eater Not!. The series adapts the spinoff manga of the same name by Atsushi Ohkubo. The production has set Masakazu Hashimoto to direct it at Bones. Hashimoto was most recently seen directing Tari Tari but has been involved in a few other things over the year as an episode director. He’s done a bit more as a full on movie director working on some Crayon Shin-chan and Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva.

Soul Eater had its anime release done here by FUNimation while Yen Press has been releasing both Soul Eater and Soul Eater Not!.

Plot concept: Ding-dong! DEAD-dong! Class is about to begin, and you don’t want to be late on your first day of school! Join Tsugumi Harudori in the NOT class at Death Weapon Meister Academy, a school dedicated to training transforming Weapons like Tsugumi and the Meisters who will wield them. Many NOT (Normally Overcome Target) students aspire to join the elite EAT (Especially Advantaged Talent) class, but it may take Tsugumi some time to find her confidence – and a partner – at this crazy school!

Featuring an all-new cast as well as a few familiar faces, Soul Eater NOT! offers an exciting peek at the lives of incoming DWMA students!
