After the first two parts were released recently, the official Star Wars YouTube channel has brought out the third piece that pays tribute to conceptual artist Ralph McQuarrie. This one is interesting since it does look back like the other ones have with his influence on the movies and in general, but it also tackles how his artwork and designs were used as a strong influence within the Star Wars: The Clone Wars CG series that ran on Cartoon Network and just finished out with Netflix. This brings in George Lucas to talk about it a bit as well as Dave Filoni and a lot of those that worked on The Clone Wars as well as going into the whole Star Wars Rebels series that will be even more influenced by what McQuarrie did back in the 1970′s.
Which is just staggering to really think about.
