What They Say:
Class is in session at a certain high school. While the teacher isn’t looking, a boy named Seki-kun is playing games by himself on his desk, while the girl who sits next to him, Yokoi-san, observes (or interferes or participates). Each time, Seki-kun’s games reach unimaginable levels… And this time the game is…

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
While Seki has largely worked with simple things for the most part with how he wastes time, he’s taking it up a notch today in his math class, which has him pulling out a remote controlled car to work with. Yokoi is cute in that she’s ready to warn him off of something so big, but he seems to be doing his work more than anything else. At least until she realizes that he was really working on a driver’s test form and has now built a sizable test track on his desk with a lot of cute items to really make it authentic. While he does waste time, he does it with such skill and detail that it is totally admirable.
While he does put in all this attention to detail and really ready to attack the test itself, it’s comical in that he ends up kind of failing his own test, which of course you can only take once a day. But he does plug away at it as time goes on and we see his level of intensity is just a thing of beauty to watch as he works that little remote controlled car all over the course. But while he can play by the rules for the most part, you know he’s going to take it to the next level and he completely does, making for some good laughs as Yokoi just rolls her eyes at it while Seki is happier than she’s ever seen him.
In Summary:
Seki’s time wasting is something that rarely, if seemingly ever, gets him into trouble. That doesn’t quite work out for him as normal here and it’s definitely fun to see the way he copes with being on the spot while you wait to see if Yokoi is going to be drawn into it or not. His entire run of road test driving is definitely fun to watch and the way he puts so much into it just makes you grin a whole lot. What’s also nice to see is that Yokoi actually manages to stand her ground a little bit this time and ends up not being the one that gets into trouble or catches the teachers ire for once.
