While all eyes are on the spring season, we’re getting a bit of a taste for the summer as well as the first promo has surfaced for the anime adaptation of the light novel series Rokujyoma no Shinryakusha!? (Invaders of the Rokujyoma!?). The series comes from the light novels by Takehaya with artwork by Poco that kicked off in 2009 and has fourteen volumes released so far. The series is set to be directed by Shin Oonuma at Silver Link while the original creator, Takehaya will servce as the series director. Character designs are being handled by Hideki Furukawa who is adapting them from Poko’s original designs. Furukawa is also serving as storyboard director while Shogo Yasukawa is handling the series overall composition.
Yūichi Nakamura, Tatsuhisa Suzuki, Aoi Yūki, Ayana Taketatsu, Eri Suzuki, Harumasa Ōmori, Masumi Tazawa, and Maria Naganawa are all slotted for roles.
Plot concept: Due to young Koutarou’s financial circumstances, he is forced to live in a small rokujouma (6-tatami apartment) on a budget of 5000 yen a month. On the plus side, he lives rent-free, but on the minus side, that’s because room 106 of Corona Apartments is cursed. The ghost is a cute young girl, and hijinks ensue when she tries to drive him out. Between the haunting, Koutarou’s nosy neighbors, and a self-styled magical girl flying to the unneeded rescue, there’s way too much for the impoverished young man to handle.
