Prometheus
There’s been a variety of talk about the sequel for Prometheus since before the film even hit, but it also felt like a given once the box office results came in plus all the home video and other revenue streams are added into it. Now things are starting to take shape as it’s being understood that when Fox announced an untitled Ridley Scott film last week amid some other offerings for March 2016, that feature will be the second Prometheus installment. While there’s some back and forth amongst the trades as to whether Scott will direct, a new writer has been hired for the film with Michael Green coming in to do work on it. The existing script from Jag Paglen is getting the polish and update and it’s expected to be fine tuned with more of what Ridley Scott wants with it.
Over the last year we’ve had a few of the actors talking about the film and that they view it as a given that it will happen. Green also has some recent history with Scott as he came in to do work on the Blade Runner sequel as well, so providing a little bit of a good working relationship in this direction is no surprise.
