Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance
Media Factory made the announcement last summer that Yu Shimizu’s series Serei Tsukai no Blade Dance, aka Spirit Elementalist’s Blade Dance, was making the move from light novel form to anime form and now we’ve got the first promotional video for the show. The property kicked off in 2010 after he finished the three volume novel series Yattekitayo, Druid-san! and has since written eleven volumes of Blade Dance. Two incarnations of manga adaptations have also begun with one in 2011 and another in 2012.
Details about the production are still light at the moment but we know Tetsuya Yanagisawa will be directing it at studio TNK and some of the casting has been revealed. Ai Kakuma will be playing Est, Shizuka Ishigami as Ellis Fahrengart, Makoto Furukawa as Kamito Kazehaya, Saori Oonishi as Fianna Ray Ordessia and Ibuki Kudo as Claire Rouge have been announced.
Plot concept: Only a pure maiden can have the privilege to contract with a spirit. In here, Areishia Spirit Academy, trained maidens of noble families are gathered and given an elite’s education to become spirit contractors. A boy, Kamito, peeped by accident at a girl, Clair, while she was taking a bath and he ended up making a contract with the spirit she wanted. Yes, Kamito is an irregular boy spirit contractor whose existence was thought impossible until now. “You stole…my spirit…you have to take responsibility for it!” “Huh?” “You have to become my contracted spirit!” What will Kamito’s destiny lead to?
