Set to debut this summer, the first promotional video that gives us a look at the animation for Tokyo Ghoul has surfaced. The series, which had its tenth volume from Sui Ishida released recently that announced adaptation, got its nod at the AnimeJapan 2014 trade show this week as well. The series will star Natsuki Hanae as Ken Kaneki, Sora Amamiya as Toka Kirishima and Hanazawa Kanaas Rize Kamishiro. Originally starting serialization in Young Jump back in September 2011, the series has done well for a first-time creator who has no other published works to his name in the field.
Plot concept: In Japan, strange creatures that eat humans are around and they’re called “Ghoul”. A university student, Kaneki Ken, is riding a normal life and has fallen in love with a girl. But, after their first date it turns out that she’s a Ghoul. Being seriously traumatized, he got saved as the Ghoul accidentally died.
What happens when the doctors implant some of her organs to him, in order for him to survive?
