Kamigami no Asobi AnnouncementCrunchyroll has slotted a second new spring simulcast series for acquisition today with the announcement of Kamigami no Asobi, which is set to premiere on April 5th, 2014 at 1pm ET for premium members and a week later for free members. The series comes from the game that was created by NIS and Broccoli that’s focused on a group of men aimed at female players  which will be animated by Brain’s Base, giving it a definite visual appeal. The show is working the main cast of characters to perform the opening and closing songs, which is expected. The cast is the same as the game itself which is:

  • Miyu Irino (Apollon Agana Berea)
  • Daisuke Ono (Hades Idoneus)
  • Yuuto Uemura (Tsukito Totsuka)
  • Toshiyuki Toyonaga (Takeru Totsuka)
  • Hiroshi Kamiya (Baldr Hringhorni)
  • Yoshimasa Hosoya (Loki Leviathan)

Availability for this series is rather specific as it will be open to viewers in the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Netherlands, Scandinavia, Turkey, Latin America, France and DOM/TOM, Belgium, Switzerland, Andorra, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania, the Middle East and the Arab League.

Plot concept: Based on an otome dating-sim game, Kamigami no Asobi stars heroine Yui Kusanagi, who is ordered by the Greek god Zeus to teach the meaning of love to various young divine beings, at a school he created especially for this purpose, in order to fix the weakening bonds between the human realm and the world of the gods.

Main heroine Yui is played by Saori Hayami, also known for her roles as Chiriko Tsurumi in Anohana and Sachi from Sword Art Online. Of course, with a bevy of handsome, young gods means a whole star-studded cast of male voice actors to play them, including: Daisuke Ono as Hades Aidoneus, Hiroshi Kamiya as Balder Hringhorni, Miyu Irino as Apollon Agana Belea, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Thoth Caduceus, Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Takeru Totsuka, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Loki Laevatein, Yuuki Kaji as Anubis Ma’at, and Yuuto Uemura as Tsukito Totsuka.
