Selector Infected Wixoss
While FUNimation picked up the US rights for selector infected WIXOSS yesterday, Crunchyroll has picked up a lot of the international streaming rights for the series and they will begin airing the series starting on Friday April 4, at 3:00pm Eastern Time. Subsequent episodes will be airing every Thursday starting April 10 at 3:00pm ET. The series has a lot of specific regions it’s available in with it being open to viewers in France and DOM/TOM, Belgium, Switzerland, Andorra, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Canada, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Bahrain, Cyprus, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Egypt, Comoros, Djibouti, Eritrea, Libya, Mauritania, Somalia, and Sudan.
The series showcases what JC Staff is bringing out with Takuya Sato directing based on scripts by Mari Okada and character designs by Kyuta Sakai. There’s a couple of hands from Steins; Gate in here and you can definitely see a touch of influence there.
Plot concept: The anime selector infected WIXOSS revolves around the hugely popular card game WIXOSS. Supposedly there are special cards called LRIG cards that only certain girls called selectors are able to use. These selectors use the LRIG cards to have battles in another dimension that cannot be accessed by other humans. The winner of these card battles will have their wish granted.
