Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to

With the premiere earlier today for Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to, Frontier Works has let loose with two new commercials for the property. The first is the series debut piece that announces that the show has arrived while the second is a look at the first home video release for the adaptation of the manga. The series is getting the traditional six volume release for the twelve episode run ahead of it which begins on June 25th, 2014 and ends on November 26th, 2014 with a new disc each month. The DVD releases will run for 4,800 yen each while the Blu-ray releases will set you back 5,800 yen each. Each release comes with two episodes per volume. The features for it so far include the first press edition materials of a bonus CD that will include a character song and a mini drama, a liner note booklet of about four pages and an illustrated digipak case. On disc extras aren’t listed at the moment beyond that each volume will have a short OVA included it, but that’s listed as subject to change.

The show is based on the manga of the same name by Hiroyuki, who created the Doujin Work manga that previously saw adaptation. The series is coming from the manga of the same name that began in 2008 which has run ten volumes total. A sequel series kicked off in 2013. The anime adaptation is being produced by studio ZEXCS with Takeshi Furuta directing with Aki Itami and Titomi Tsuruta providing the character designs.

The cast for the series is pretty strong as well as Yoshisugu Matsuoka will be playing Yuki Aito, Saori Hayami will take on Sahoto Ahisu, reuniting them from their time on Sword Art Online. Arisa Noto will be taking on Mihari Otosuna while Rie Kugiyama will be portraying Sena Kuroi, Yuka Iguchi will be Rinna Fuwa, Minami Tanaka as KMatome Minano and Miku Ito as Suino Sahoto. . While a lot of shows have the cast perform the opening and/or ending themes, this one will have StylipS performing them.

Plot Concept: A life description about the mangaka Aito Yuuki and his assistant Ashisu Sahoto. Aito doesn’t understand the feelings of the characters in his stories so he asks Ashisu to help him. Ashisu would do anything for the work—she will even let him touch her breast so he will know how it feels like.
