It’s generally been felt that the recent attempts by Bryan Singer and John Orloff to bring about a new adaptation of the 1970′s TV series Battlestar Galactica to the big screen was being forgotten as the last that was heard was back in 2011. And Singer has gone on to get heavily involved in the X-Men universe again after Jack the Giant Slayer. But Universal isn’t going to let their big space property sit idle for too long as they’ve now brought in a new writer to try and revive the project as Jack Paglen has signed on for a treatment. Paglen’s getting a decent bit of work these days with Transcendence about to hit and he’s signed on for Prometheus‘ sequel as well as doing work on the Blade Runner sequel.
