While Hulu has had over eighty episodes of Lupin the 3rd Part II on the service for awhile, they were the dubbed episodes that Geneon Entertainment had done which saw some traction back on Cartoon Network years ago. Now TMS Entertainment is bringing out more of the series but in subtitled forming, giving fans the first twenty-six episodes of the show in its original Japanese, albeit using the international masters which have minor edits to them. This chunk of the series originally began its broadcast back in 1977 and ran for 155 episodes overall with a lot of notable people working on it, from the fan favorite Hayao Miyazaki episodes to Noburo Ishiguro as well.
Plot concept: Five years have passed since master thief Lupin and his gang made their daring escape out of Japan and went their separate ways. Then one day Lupin, Jigen, Goemon and Fujiko each receive an invitation from Lupin for a reunion, aboard the luxury liner Sirloin. Reunited on the ship, they discover Lupin didn’t send the invitations and the reunion is a trap, plotted by a vengeful Mister X, the Leader of the Scorpion Gang! Foiling Mister X’s plot while evading his ICPO nemesis, Inspector Zenigata, is all in a day’s work for Lupin and his gang, as their heisting adventures around the globe begin again!
