With Paramount’s bringing out the first teaser trailer previously for the August 8th, 2014 relaunch of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, they’re now following it up a few new quality stills from it that gives us a chance to check out Leonardo a bit better. That character recently had a bit of a chance as the motion cap actor for him has had his voice replaced with that of Johnny Knoxville.
Directed by Jonathan Liebesman and produced by Michael Bay, it’s due out on August 8th and stars Megan Fox, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, Johnny Knoxville, Tony Shalhoub, Alan Ritchson, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard, Danny Woodburn, and Noel Fisher.
Plot concept: The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.
