With the third and final big trailer having come out earlier in the day, the promotional campaign is just ramping up for X-Men: Days of Future Past for when it lands on May 23rd, 2014. The latest piece of the puzzle is a new featurette for the film that shows a scene that was created “on the fly” for it about how Magneto, played by Michael Fassbender, went and acquired his helmet after being freed. It gives us a little behind the scenes time with Fassbender and director Bryan Singer that goes into how it was put together since it wasn’t in the original script.
Directed by Bryan Singer, the film stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman, Peter Dinklage, Nicholas Hoult, Ian McKellan, Patrick Stewart, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, Omar Sy, and Halle Berry.
Plot concept: The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original “X-Men” film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from “X-Men: First Class,” in an epic battle that must change the past — to save our future.
