With Godzilla set to debut on May 16th, 2014 in the US, more promotional materials are starting to come out. We’ve had some excellent posters so far that really hit the right tone for the film and the TV spots have certainly played up the realism of the tragedies that happen and the scale of the danger. Now, Warner Bros. has laid down a new two minute interview featurette with director Gareth Edwards to talk about his approach to the film and why he wanted to go back to properly honoring the original film and extrapolate events from there.
The film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, Juliette Binoche, and David Strathairn.
Plot concept: An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
