Aniplex USA had their panel at SakuraCon today for Sword Art Online where they had special appearances by Director Tomohiko Ito, Character Designer Shingo Adachi and Producer Shinichiro Kashiwada. The event was used to confirm that Aniplex will be bringing the Sword Art Online II series to a worldwide simulcast presentation this July when it premieres in Japan. Aniplex has also confirmed plans of hosting Sword Art Online II Premiere Screening Events to be held in the U.S., France, Germany, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. Details regarding streaming schedules and platforms as well as Premiere Screening Event info will be announced at a later date.

Aniplex also announced details of their fan-interactive event called the “Sword Art Online Awards.” The “Sword Art Online Awards” will take place starting April 20th on Japan’s Official Sword Art Online Homepage (www.swordart-online.net). Fans of Sword Art Online from all over the world will be able to cast their votes in to choose the winners
in a variety of categories such as Best Episode, Best Male Character, and Best Female Character to name a few. Complete Details about the “Sword Art Online Awards” can be

Votes will be accepted from fans worldwide on Japan’s Official Sword Art Online Homepage starting 4/20/2014 at http://www.swordart-online.net

The Sword Art Online Awards is an international award celebrating the development of the Sword Art Online anime series. The award recognizes the remarkable achievements of every aspect of Sword Art Online and is the mark of highest honor. Each winner of the 12 merit categories will be chosen by the votes of SAO fans!
