Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san
One of the short form anime series of the spring has gotten its home video release marching orders as the details for Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san have been revealed. The series, which clocks in at just a couple of minutes per episode, is getting a single disc release on July 18th, 2014. The DVD release is priced at 5,400 yen while the Blu-ray release is set at 7,844 yen. The release will contain all twelve broadcast episodes, an unaired bonus episode, the clean ending sequence and the promotional videos.
Based on the manga by Kuzushiro, the series is set for an April 4th, 2014 Japanese premiere on a few networks such as TV Saitama, tvk, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV. The recent issue of Comic Yuri Hime made the announcement which also detailed the production team and cast for the show. The series will be directed by Shinpei Nagai, who recently worked on Hiiro no Kakera and served as an episode director on Psych0-Pass at animation studio Seven. Takehiro Miura will be handling the character designs.
Plot concept: The series revolves focuses on the characters of Suzu Nekoyama, a timid, shy tsundere (initially aloof and abrasive, but later kind-hearted) girl loves dogs, and Yachiyo Inugami, a super masochistic, air-headed, friendly girl who loves cats. One day, after a fateful meeting, the two find themselves attracted to each other. In response to Inugami’s instinctive approaches, Nekoyama is always bashful. Their friend Aki has to work hard to make jabs at some of the situations of the two, and also to stop Inugami from going berserk.
