The series follows two high school girls; Yachiyo Inugami, a dog-like girl who loves cats, and Suzu Nekoyama, a cat-like girl who loves dogs, and the strange relationship their respective habits form.

As we get older, things change with our bodies and that’s no different for these girls. This time around we get Suzu dealing with the fact that her eyes aren’t as good as they used to be and she needs to get contacts. Of course, Yachiyo won’t let that happen as she’s all about the fetishes and that has her insisting that glasses are the way to go, which ends up with them going on a kind of awkward not-date as Yachiyo is all over her in helping her. She’s so hyper and silly that it really is infectious compared to the even keeled Suzu. There’s cuteness with this but it’s the interactions with Aki that are priceless as Aki looks like a truly sadistic person with glasses on while Yachiyo comes across as a mousy klutz of sorts.
In Summary:
The trio definitely has some simple fun here but there’s a really good flow to it overall as their personalities dominate. While we see their animal-sides come out well enough in how they act, a lot of it is just driven by Yachiyo’s personality itself since she’s the active dog type with her personality, always looking for the next thing. Her fascination with Suzu is great but I love that they keep someone like Aki in the mix so that it’s not just the cat/dog thing that’s going on constantly since Aki has no time for Yachiyo’s shenanigans.
