Free! Eternal Summer
Folks strolling through Akihabara today in Japan managed to stumble across something that will delight many a fans around the world as the Akihabara UDX Vision was showing off a new promotional video for the second season of Free!, which will be called Free! Eternal Summer. The promo gives us a look at some things that certainly wasn’t in the first season as a winter scene is included and there appears to be a new character as well. The show is set for a summer broadcast in Japan on the usual stations and it’s expected that like the first season that it will get a simulcast release here as well through Crunchyroll. The first season has not been licensed for home video release by any distributors outside of Japan.
Plot concept: Nanase Haruka loved to be in the water – loved swimming. In elementary school, Nanase Haruka, Tachibana Makoto, Matsuoka Rin, and Hazuki Nagisa attended the same swimming class together. Time passed, and as Haruka was living an uneventful high school life, he suddenly encountered Rin again. Rin challenged Haruka to a race and showed him how much stronger he had become. Soon enough, Makoto and Nagisa also rejoined the group, and along with a new classmate, Ryugazaki Rei, they established the Iwatobi High School Swimming Club.
