While we got the first teaser promo for this a week or so ago, Amazon Japan has updated with a clearer look at the upcoming Kaleido Star Blu-ray set. We got the news late last year that this series would be coming out in the summer of 2014 with Happinet distributing it and the little teases along the way for the packaging has been fun in addition to the great details of what’s in the set. But now we’ve got a clearer look at the packaging itself with what’s inside that will definitely delight the fans, especially the size of the book and all the silkscreened discs. It’s scheduled for a regular and limited edition release of the series that has a lot going for it and they’ve now brought out the first promotional video for the release. The show is set to land on June 3rd, 2014 with both series and all the OVAs and other bits for 52,762 yen for the regular edition and 59,800 yen for the limited edition. The set clocks in at 1415 minutes with bonus footage not included in that. It is, unfortunately, Japanese language only as we get the PCM stereo track with a 1080i full frame transfer.
This does fortunately open the door for it to be released on Blu-ray in North America in the future, now that remastered materials are available. FUNimation released it in a complete DVD collection a couple of years back and in 2012 did a complete collection with the two OVA episodes added at long last.
