Date A Live II
While we’ve got a few episodes of the new spring series Date-A-Live II out there on the Internets, Kadokawa is doing its prep work to get you to want to buy the home video version. We’ve seen promos for the first volume already and now they’ve got a new piece out that lets Takehito Koyasu get his time in the sun as he plays Kyouhei Kannazuki. The series is getting a five volume release where there’s a couple of exclusives as well depending on where you buy it. The series is slated for a June 27th, 2014 debut on DVD and Blu-ray with the breakdown below:

The home video release will be the directors cut of the show with no edits to it and the first volume will be coming with a box. The directors cut adds about four minutes worth of footage to it with unaired scenes. Other on disc extras are to be announced at a later date.
The series comes from the light novels of the same name by Koushi Tachibana and was animated by AIC Plus+ under director Keitaro Motonaga. FUNimation previously simulcast the first season of the series and did a late pickup of the first season for home video release.
