Chris Hemsworth
Having just rewatched the first two films as I introduced them to my kids, it’s amusing to see that another late 80′s property is back in play as a fifth installment of Lethal Weapon is being bandied about. That’s certainly not a surprise and depending on how they do it, could bring Mel Gibson back into play once again. The current word out is that director Justin Lin (Fast & Furious) is attached to direct with Chris Hemsworth offered the lead role. The premise as it seems to be is that it’s going to revolve around an older cop and his son who wants to join the force. The natural idea is that it would involve Riggs as said older cop, taking on the Danny Glover role, while Hemsworth gets the son role that would transition to him for future installments alongside with another rookie partner probably.
The film has a tentative title of Lionheart at the moment.
