Sakasama no Patema
With Anime Limited’s Kickstarter for Patema Inverted funded pretty quickly, they’ve moved on to the next phase of this UK/FR specific project to reveal the dub cast for the series. That’s being worked on by the fine folks at NYAV post and the cast includes:

With GKIDS having picked up the US rights for this previously, we’re obviously hoping and expecting that this dub will be made available to them as well (we suspect it’s being produced in conjunction) and that we’ll be seeing this released later in 2014 from them. For UK/FR fans, they’re working towards a pretty spiffy project with a lot of fun rewards and stretch goals, making us wish that this was open to more territories. And hoping that we might see some US distributors try this with a few niche titles to come up with some rewards as well having seen how AnimEigo has done with Bubblegum Crisis so far.
Plot concept: In an underground world where tunnels extend everywhere, even though they live in dark and confined spaces, people wear protective clothes and lead quiet and enjoyable lives. Patema, a princess in her underground village, loves to explore the tunnels. Her favorite place is a “danger zone” that her village prohibits people from entering. Even though she’s scolded, Patema’s curiosity can’t be held back. No one ever explained what the supposed danger was. On her usual trip to the “danger zone,” Patema faces unexpected events. When hidden secrets come to light, the story begins to unfold.
