After getting the first full length trailer for the upcoming series Outlander a few days ago, Starz has now added a couple of new pieces of information about the series. While we’ve known for awhile that it was getting a summer 2014 broadcast, we didn’t know which part of the summer. now Starz has revealed that it will premiere on Saturday, August 9th, at 9pm ET. The network has gone big with this show by ordering sixteen episodes and it’s even changing the usual Friday night slot for original series for a Saturday. They’ve also added a new piece of key art in the poster below. Outlander has Ron Moore exec producing it based on the novel series by Diana Gabaldon. The production took place in Scotland last year and stars Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Tobias Menzies, Gary Lewis, Graham McTavish, Duncan Lacroix, Lotte Verbeek, Nell Hudson, and is executive produced by Ronald D. Moore. Based on the international bestselling novels by Diana Gabaldon.
