Discotek Media has updated with some information on an acquisition from awhile ago with news that the 1973 TV series Cutie Honey will be hitting the shelves on November 26th, 2013. The series originally ran from the fall of 1973 to the spring of 1974 with Toei Animation behind the production from Go Nagai, who also rolled out a two volume manga series during that time. Discotek Media has showed off the retro style cover art as well for the collection that will hold all twenty-five episodes.
Plot concept: Professor Kisaragi created the android Cutey Honey. He made her with the ‘Fixed System of Air Elements’ that creates anything out of thin air. Panther Claw, an evil organization, desires this device and will stop at nothing! Not even Professor Kisaragi who is tragically killed. Honey swears revenge and will stop at nothing to destroy the Panther Claw.
