Sentai Filmworks picked up the home video rights for Black Bullet recently and included in that was digital rights as well. And they’re following through on that today with more streaming options for anime fans as the show has now begin distribution on Hulu. The first episode of the series is now available through their partnership with The Anime Network for free commercial streaming on computers while Hulu Plus fans can watch this show on their TV and mobile device. The series comes from the original creator, Shiden Kanzaki, and is directed by Masayuki Kojima (Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, Bottom Biting Bug) with series composition by Tatsuhiko Urahata (Fighting Spirit, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere), music by Shiro Sagisu (Nadia – The Secret of Blue Water, Neon Genesis Evangelion) and animation production by Kinema Citrus (Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Yuyushiki).
Plot concept: It’s the year 2031 and ten years have passed since Rentaro’s parents – along with most of mankind – were killed by an alien parasitical virus known as Gastrea. Rentaro, along with his childhood friends, Kisara and Enju, have formed the Tendo Civil Security to tirelessly fight against Gastrea. Operating as a pair with Enju as Initiator, and Rentaro as Promoter, serving to lead the cursed children, they must together work as a team to dismantle evil brought on by Gastrea.
