Color me crazy, but I can’t see this one getting released over here without a bit of trouble, so fans wanting to see Saint Young Men‘s movie outing from this past May will have few options. One of them is the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release of the film that’s set October 23rd, 2013. The Blu-ray is a limited edition release at 6825 yen while the DVD limited edition is at 5775 yen and a regular edition at just 3990 yen. The limited edition release is a two disc release with a secon ddisc of bonus content. Extras include the various commercials and trailers, special videos, making of material, clean closing sequence and more, such as a new booklet.
Plot concept: What if Jesus and Buddha were living on Earth in modern times? What if they shared an apartment in Japan? Saint Young Men is a humorous manga about the daily lives of Jesus and Buddha, with each chapter focusing on some element of modern life, such as Disneyland, rush hour on the train, Christmas, the public pool, carnivals, and more.
