Recorder And Randsell Mi Episode 2

Recorder And Randsell Mi Episode 2

Sometimes a crush can be wrong. So very, very, wrong.

What They Say:
On the surface it seems as if Atsushi is an adult, but really he’s just an elementary student! However, he is paired with a second-year high school student Atsumi, whose height is just the opposite of his. These two together create an unusual relationship and will undoubtedly instigate some comedic antics in this slice of life comedy!

The Review:
Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
While the first episode focused heavily on Atsushi, this one gives us some time with Atsumi as she and Sayo are trying to escape from the rain and have finally found their way to a safe place. Amusingly, we still have the complicated issue of Sayo being interested in Atsushi, even though I do believe she knows the truth of the matter, but wearing his clothes while drying off just makes her blush, never mind that he talks with her. She’s just so smitten by him, largely for his looks, but she does admit that she hopes that his personality catches up with him. It continues to be a comically awful relationship to watch unfold and you have to really feel for Sayo as she knows just how wrong it is but can’t seem to help it.

In Summary:
One of the more amusing parts of the first season involved Sayo and how she was taken by Atsushi without realizing who he was for a bit or the kind of problem he has. While that’s fallen to the wayside, she’s still smitten with him and does her best to get closer to him in small ways which is really awkward, but it also just reinforces that Sayo is into him for his looks at the moment and certainly not his personality. There are some cute bits here for everyone involved, though I wish we had more time with Atsumi, but it’s a pretty cute if simple episode overall that is still throwing me off by the new animation style.
