One of the more interesting books that’s coming out this October from Disney Lucasfilm Press is that of The Adventures of Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight, which is set to land in October. The book is set to use the original artwork created by legendary artist Ralph McQuarrie to present the films in a storybook form geared towards younger readers. It’s definitely an interesting approach and the interview with author Tony DiTerlizzi below goes into the approach of it and the way that these young fans, many of whom are discovering reading through the Star Wars universe, will also be exposed to some gorgeous artwork that was created before any casting was done for a lot of it.
Plot concept: The classic tale of good versus evil set in a galaxy far, far away, quickly became a cultural phenomenon during its time, inspiring a generation of story lovers and storytellers. Now, the original trilogy of Star Wars shines anew with the vibrant concept art of Ralph McQuarrie, the legendary conceptual designer behind the original trilogy.
