While it’s pretty much a sure bet that it won’t be called Man of Steel 2, there’s still no formal name for the 2015 release of the sequel feature from Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment. According to those that attended the the Superman 75th Anniversary panel at SDCC this weekend, writer David Goyer spoke about the film and said that they’re still kicking around a name for the film.
“So the next film we’re making, we’re already in pre-production, comes out in summer of 2015 and it’s–we’re actually not sure whether the title is Superman vs. Batman or Batman vs. Superman but yes, it’s–that rematch, that combination, the two guys onscreen and that’s happening.”
And just to hedge their bets and protect themselves a bit from squatters, Warner Bros. has also registered several new domains recently with SupermanVsBatman.com, BatmanVsSuperman.com, and BatmanVsSupermanMovie.com all now taken.
