Senyu Episode 19

Senyu Episode 19

When even the narrator points out how useless you are to the story, you need to worry Alba.

What They Say:
Long ago, there lived an evil being who reigned over the world through fear, called Satan Rchimedes. He invaded the human world with his many demon underlings, spreading madness and chaos everywhere. One thousand years ago, this menace was sealed by the hero Creation, and peace returned to the world.

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
The season has moved along in a predictable manner to be sure, moving at awkward paces and throwing things all over the place, including some hilarious armor reveals and the shift now to the gang getting out of the dimensional rift. If there’s a shock, it’s that Alba isn’t still in a jail cell. The arrival of Juli to cause trouble for Samejima has certainly paid off as he’s out cold (though they think he’s been sacrificed at first) is fun to watch since we get an amusing look at how Samejima’s power works and how Ros will take advantage of it. Add in Juana there who is in quite a mood after everything else and he’s ready to take down the new assassin, who himself feels like it’s time for some exposition first. Everything seems to be falling into place though for the bad guys, but it’s just a matter of waiting to see how the good guys screw it up.

In Summary:
When the narrator gets worried about how bad the story is going, that just means we’re going to see some wacky solutions put into play soon. Which works perfectly fine for me since the show thrives on wacky and silly played to an absurd angle. This episode is a bit more transitional in things as it moves some of the characters around a bit, which was needed, and now we’ve got a bit of a clearer idea about what’s going to happen next, which is mostly just a lot of destruction and silliness. And Senyu is all the better for it.
